Met these two at a panel about young adult lit at the DCC and they were both awesome.

More on them later, once I’ve started Amelia Rules! and …I think out of Carrie’s work I’ll start with After the Golden Age or this book she spoke about dragons being an analogy for the Russians during the Cold War.

Tis Jimmy Gownley and Carrie Vaughn btw. I can’t honestly say you have to check out their work yet, but if you can ever meet them; DO.  They’re really cool people.

Saw ↓ yesterday and loved it. You think Wes Anderson would hit a snag, but nope.

When a friend told me about this, they said it was going to be “small and dinky” (comparing it to Star Fest, I think); it wasn’t. el oh el
:c Unfortunately I only got to go for half a day on Sat, and all I have to say is “Very cool.” I can’t wait to see how it turns out next year.

So recently I had the privilege(?) of watching this during a tornado storm and …it was awesome! Really, I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about this movie. Even if everyone would say it sucked, I’d be happy it was getting more recognition.

the cinematography alone makes it worth watching.
